Butterow Beagles

Established in 1972, we are a small kennel, producing a litter occasionally when we want a new puppy for ourselves.

Our beagles live with us in the home, so good temperament as well as soundness and good looks are very important to us.

We are members of:

The Beagle Association – www.beagleassociation.org.uk

The Beagle Club – www.and Northern and Midland Counties Beagle Club and are actively involved in supporting our breed rescue – Beagle Welfare. For more information about these, and Beagle Health, please go to our Links Page.

We are proud to be members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme and all our beagles are tested as required by this scheme.

Our first brood bitch was Rossut Primrose of Butterow. Her children included:

Willow

Butterow Willow (1974-92)

A regular winner of veteran classes, who lived to be over 18 years old.

Crafty

Ch. Butterow Crafty Chantress of Jesson (1979-94)

Best of Breed Crufts 1983 (owned and exhibited by the late Mrs Honor Eades before 'retiring' to live with us in 1985).

Bryher

Butterow Bryher of Jesson (1978-89)

Best Puppy in Show at Beagle Association Ch. Show 1979(exhibited by the late Mrs Honour Eades).
